The Causeway Occupation set to enter Horsham Battle of the Bands for the first time on Sunday 16th October!
We’ve entered this year’s Horsham Battle of the Bands competition. It’s a great event that takes place every year in our home town, and we’re really excited to be taking part for the first time. We’re playing Heat 2 which is on Sunday 16th October at Chameleon in Horsham – with the first band on at 7pm.
Looks like we have some tough competition alongside us, with some great bands taking part, but we’re really looking forward to it.
Audience vote/reaction counts on the night, so we need all the support we can get! Please get down there to support us. It’s only £3 on the door.
See you there!!!

The Causeway Occupation return to the Hope in November
The Causeway Occupation will be returning to the Hope in Brighton for another gig on the 26th November 2011. A Winter’s Tale is yet another night organised by Waitstock Promotions and if the previous nights are anything to go by – this should be a great evening.
Headliners will be Stick in a Pot – this time playing with their new full line up. As well as us, there will be support from Tied to the Mast, Modern Ruin and David John.
Tickets are just £5 and will be available on the door from 7pm – so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Our new tracks are now online! Vote for us at Supajam to give us a chance to get on the lineup at Benicassim festival!
Hey guys,
Our first studio recorded tracks are now online. You can listen to ‘The Man Who Mourned The Seasons’, ‘The Hours’ and ‘Declarations’ right here on the Music pages of our website, or even better – head over to the Supajam site to take a listen to the tracks there.
While you’re there, if you like what you hear (and even if you don’t), please vote for the tracks to give us a chance to play with the likes of Arcade Fire and The Strokes at the Benicassim festival in Spain.
Enjoy!

Great night at the Hope! Big thanks to all the support that came down.
Because Worse Things Happen at Sea turned out to be a great night at the Hope in Brighton on Saturday 26th Feb.
A great mix of music, from the acoustic folk of Stick in a Pot, right through to the sombre doom riffs of Gorse, everybody was catered for. We fitted in nicely in the middle – as our slotting on the night would suggest.
A big shout out to friends and family that came down to see us, we really appreciate the support.
Also, a particularly big shout out to Ben for putting the night on. It takes a lot of work to get that many people together on one night, and we’re privileged that he wanted us to be a part of it. Thanks Ben.
Hopefully more gigs coming soon. We’ll keep you posted!
